A multimedia zoom presentation, Seth Rogovoy (author of Essential Klezmer: A Music Lover’s Guide to Jewish Roots and Soul Music), traces Klezmer’s evolution from Old World shtetls to New World nightclubs. The program will introduce us to the heroes who helped transform Eastern European Yiddish wedding music into the vital form of spiritual world music it is today.
