The Council is proud to co-sponsor the annual County-Wide Holocaust Commemoration, along with the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center. The commemoration will take place on Monday, April 24, 2017, 12:00-1:00pm at the Garden of Remembrance, White Plains. This year's commemoration was held on Thursday, May 5, 2016, 12:00-1:00pm at the Garden of Remembrance, 148 Martine Avenue, White Plains.  Over 300 were in attendance. The program  included a procession of Westchester's rescued Holocaust Torahs and guest speaker Stanley Berger, Holocaust survivor.

Last year over 250 were in attendance. The event featured  remarks by Judy Altmann, a Holocaust survivor as well as a parade of 16 rescued Torahs now housed in local Westchester synagogues.
