The annual Westchester Jewish Music & Arts Festival was held on Sunday, August 21, 2016, Noon - 6 pm at the Kensico Dam Plaza. Nearly 1,200 people turned out for a day of music, dance, art, food and fun!
Presented by The Westchester Jewish Council, The Westchester Klezmer Program, and Kol Hazzanim – The Cantors of Westchester in cooperation with Westchester County Parks, the festival was the last of the annual summer ethnic heritage festivals series. Attendees enjoyed kosher food and snacks that were vailable for purchase, as well as a vendor exhibition area that included Jewish Art/Judaica, jewelry, crafts, local organizations and more. The event featured a variety of musical entertainment including New York Jewish rock band Soulfarm, children’s entertainer Matty Roxx, the Westchester Klezmer Program Band and members of Kol Hazzanim - the Cantors of Westchester. In addition, Camp Zeke led Israeli dancing for all ages throughout the day. Face painting by Maria, as well as juggler Ned Gelfars provided additional family activities and fun throughout the day.
