Welcome to the Westchester Jewish Council website. The Westchester Jewish Council is proud to serve as the Jewish Community Relations Council of Westchester. We work closely with our 140 Jewish member organizations, which in turn serve the Jewish community of Westchester, the eighth largest Jewish county in the U.S. with nearly 150,000 Jews. Since its inception in 1975, the Westchester Jewish Council has become the central communicating, coordinating, convening, advisory and resource organization in Jewish Westchester. Through our work, the Council fosters communication and collaboration with and among Jewish organizations, serves as a link and works closely with our elected officials, cultivates stronger relationships with other ethnic and faith-based groups, and strengthens ties between Westchester Jewry and the people and the State of Israel.
