Author Will Swift will discuss and be asking questions like:

- Were Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt anti-semites?

- What prevented them from doing more to help Jews escape Nazi-dominated Europe from the beginning of FDRs first term in 1933 until his death in 1945?

- Should FDR have bombed the death camps at Auschwitz and Berkenau?

-Swift will also discuss the legacy of the Roosevelts and ask what their response to the Holocaust might have to say about our current debates on immigration and integrating “the other” in society?

In exploring one of the most passionate controversies in American history, author Will Swift will talk about how the president and the American people responded to the Nazis' determination to exterminate the Jewish race.
