Night of Jewish Learning and Celebration

Nearly 400 people came out on Saturday evening, December 5, 2015 to enjoy a a Night of Jewish Learning and Celebration, presented jointly with the Westchester Board of Rabbis with support from UJA-Federation of New York. Participants were able to choose two workshops to attend from over 30 offerings, all taught by Westchester clergy.  Click here to view workshop offerings.

The next Night of Jewish Learning & Celebration will take place in 2017, but please plan to join us in 2016 for our biennial Night of Jewish Music & Celebration.  Details TBA. 

 

Night of Jewish Learning and Celebration 2013

On Saturday, November 23, 2013 more than 500 people joined us at Beth El Synagogue Center in New Rochelle for our third Night of Jewish Learning and Celebration, presented jointly with the Westchester Board of Rabbis with support from UJA-Federation of New York.  After two sessions of workshops presented by thirty local rabbis, celebrants enjoyed a delicious kosher dairy dessert reception while enjoying the music of Pizmon, the a capella group comprised of students from Barnard, Columbia, and the Jewish Theological Seminary.  Click here to view photos from the event.

The first County-wide Night of Jewish Learning and Celebration on Saturday night, November 13, 2010 at Temple Israel Center of White Plains was a roaring success.  Presented by the Westchester Board of Rabbis and the Westchester Jewish Council, participants were able to choose from 27 courses taught by local rabbis. The evening included the music of the Moody Jews and a chinese and sushi buffet.

The second Night of Jewish Learning and Celebration was held on Saturday night, November 12, 2011 at Beth El Synagogue Center and had an even bigger turnout.  Thirty Rabbis offered short courses at the event, presented jointly with the Westchester Board of Rabbis.  Music was again provided by the Moody Jews.
