Theologian, scholar, and educator, Rabbi Held is Dean and Chair in Jewish Thought at Mechon Hadar in NYC, where he directs the Center for Jewish Leadership and Ideas.  Rabbi Held is also the author of “Abraham Joshua Heschel: The Call of Transcendence.”

Rabbi Held will be joining us during the weekend of Nov. 30 and Dec. 1

  • “Chesed as the Core Reflection of Jewish Spirituality” – Friday night, Nov. 30 after services & dinner. Services at 6 pm, dinner at 7.  Cost is $20 per person.
  • “Rabbi Heschel and Rabbi Soloveitchik, giants of Jewish thought – their Views on How Prayer Impacts Us as Humans” Saturday, December 1st during the morning service, which begins at 9:18 am.
  • “King David and Bat Sheva – the Meaning Behind the Story” – after Shabbat lunch. Kiddush luncheon is $15 per person.
